7 days Tour Review in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is without a doubt one of my favorite travel destinations. I did a 7 day tour of Sri Lanka. I had no idea what places I should visit in 7 days. As per my wish, Ms. Chanali at the tourist center gave me a very accurate itinerary. Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, we were warmly welcomed by the team at the tourist center at the airport. We left the airport and went to a nearby hotel.

Day 01 rested at a beachfront hotel in Negombo, where the hotel and staff were extremely friendly. Thanks to the restaurant supervisor, the restaurant is very flexible. We had a great evening here, which added to the experience.

On the way to Kandy on the 2nd day, we visited the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and had a beautiful experience of feeding, swimming, and seeing baby elephants in the nearby river. In the afternoon went to Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth), Buddhist people believe that it is a must-visit place in the world. It is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. I also saw the wonderful Sri Lankan traditional cultural show. In the evening we rested at the hotel and had a wonderful BBQ night at the hotel.

After breakfast on the third day, we left for Nuwara Eliya. The route that falls through the tea plantations is stunningly scenic. We visited the Ramboda waterfall and had lunch near it. Then we visited a tea factory and traveled to Nuwara Eliya. In the evening we visited several places in the city. We had heard about the city of Nuwara Eliya called Little England. It felt like a fact. Had a tiring day but enjoyed spending the night at the hotel with delicious food and excellent service from the hotel staff.

On day 04, we were transferred to Ella, one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. In the evening, we went to see the nine-arched bridge, which is the most beautiful place in the falls. After that, when the sunset, little Shri went to the top of the pada and experienced that wonder. Walked in Elle town at night. Had dinner at a restaurant in the city. Although Ella is a small town, there are many restaurants full of delicious food.

On 05th, transfer to Galle and visit Maduganga Wetland Boat Ride, Turtle Hatchery, Fish, Galle Fish Market, and in the evening watch the sunset from Galle Dutch Fort. Galle Dutch Fort is very big. There are many different types of shops inside. Walk around the Fort and taste different types of food. Galle Fort turned out to be a place full of more beautiful experiences than I imagined.

Day 06 was an experience of a lifetime on a tuk-tuk ride in Colombo. From our hotel, we were taken to Gangarama Buddhist Temple, Freedom Memorial Hall, Manning Pola, Market Streets of Peta Kottu, Sri Lankan Spiced Fruit Stand, Holland Hospital, Sambodhi Pagoda, Galle Mouth Short Walk, and Ceylon Tea tasting. I had an authentic Sri Lankan lunch during the tour and it was amazing. The evening was spent at the hotel.

Day 07 rested after breakfast at the hotel and we started our packing to return to our country. Very sad to leave this wonderful country with such helpful people and we took so many memories with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the mix of culture, nature, scenery, and a relaxing beach holiday – Sri Lanka has a lot to offer our choice.

We hope to return and thank you so much for the trip and for giving us such a brilliant experience. Also, we would like to thank our driver and guide for a safe trip as he was always flexible with our timing. Travel Hub is truly an amazing travel agency and from day one to the end they kept up with us and were always reachable to ensure our comfort. When we corresponded about our trip, they were very helpful in making sure we were able to visit many spots in Sri Lanka. I appreciate their prompt response to emails. Once again, many thanks to all of you who wish you all the best for making this trip a success.
